DID YOU KNOW............
The Sport Horse National Arabian and Half-Arabian Championship
Horse Show is the only single breed championship competition
focusing specifically on sport horse disciplines and catering to
sport horse exhibitors. 550 horses exhibited in the 3rd Annual SH
National Show in 2005, exceeding expectations by over 100. The
2006 show will be held at the Idaho Center Horse Park, Nampa,
Idaho, from September 20-24, 2006.
Q. What horses might I
find on this website?
A. This site exists for
the promotion of horses from Arabian heritage which are used or
primarily bred for the purpose of participation in any sporting
event. Although we heavily support the ARABIAN SPORT HORSE, as
defined by the ARABIAN HORSE ASSOCIATION, this site represents
horses which may contain as little as 50% Arabian blood.
Q.
What is an Arabian Sport Horse?
A.
It
is a purebred Arabian, half Arabian or Anglo Arabian, whose primary criteria is correct conformation and movement
suitable to perform in sporting events.

The
Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse in
Sport Horse and Performance.
It would seem that when we receive reports of
Sport Horse accomplishments, the winners are
consistently straight Egyptian Arabians.
Commonly known for their beauty, the straight
Egyptian Arabian is increasingly taking a turn from
the halter ring to performance, and proving itself
to be as capable as any bloodline or breed.
Straight Egyptian Stallion, Asami
Ruuh , Hadaya El
Tareef x Noble Imdalia is currently the 2006 high point
horse in Arabian Halter. Sami has 164 points in
halter and 20 points in Arabian Sporthorse.
Sami's winnings have single-handedly placed
his sire at number 14 in the current
US Equestrian Leading Sire Rankings. Sami is
owned by Sharon and Ed Litizzette. He is trained
and shown by Sandy Johnson.
